Former Torquay United captain and manager Chris Hargreaves has been sacked by the Gulls' National League rivals Yeovil Town after less than six months in charge.
Hargreaves, 50, was only appointed in May on a two-year contract, but he has been dismissed in the wake of Tuesday's 2-0 home defeat by Aldershot Town, with the Glovers 21st in the NL.
They had won two, drawn seven and lost six of their first 15 games of the season and been knocked out of the FA Cup by Somerset neighbours Taunton Town of the NL South.
Hargreaves, who had coached at Bristol Rovers and worked as the Pirates' Academy manager for five years since an 18-month spell in charge at Plainmoor, is believed to have been working with a limited budget at Yeovil, where chairman Scott Priestnall has been trying to sell the club for some time.
Town made no immediate announcement about the futures of Hargreaves' assistants, his former Plainmoor team-mate Chris Todd and ex-Yeovil and Bristol Rovers striker Marcus Stewart.
