Torbay world record paddleboarder plans epic sea mission

Torquay's Brendon Prince to paddle, eat, sleep and repeat for 500km all without touching land

Torbay world record paddleboarder plans epic sea mission

World record holder Brendon Prince is off on another one of his paddle boarding adventures - and it could be one of the toughest yet.

The former Torquay school teacher has set several 'Long Paddle' world records for paddling around the UK coastline.

Now he aims to paddle on the ocean again - but this time non-stop for 500km.

He says: "500 kilometres non- stop. No land, no limits. I will be taking everything I need on the board to paddle, eat, sleep, repeat for 500km and that includes paddling through hot days and dark nights.”

Brendon will be raising funds for his charity abovewateruk to create water safety/drowning prevention video shorts for schools throughout the UK.

He is appealing for sponsors for the event in August and says: “If your business or organisation would like to sponsorship this world first, please contact brendon@thelongpaddle.co.uk to talk more and hear about all the sponsorship opportunities.”
