Torbay RNLI Fundraisers are inviting children and families to take part in a fun and educational “Yellow Welly Trail” in Brixham this summer.
Aimed at under 16s, the trail runs from Thursday 7 August to Tuesday 12 August, with maps available for £3 from outside the RNLI shop on the Quay, opposite the iconic “Man and Boy” statue. Volunteers will be there from 10am to 4pm each day.
The challenge? Track down 11 yellow wellies hidden in shop windows around the town – each featuring a special clue. When pieced together, the clues form a water lifesaving slogan.
Torbay Lifeboat Fundraisers Chairman, Peter Thorp, said: “We wanted to give our youngsters something fun to do over the summer holidays – but also teach them something that could one day save their lives.”
Every completed trail gives children a chance to win £25. The activity not only supports the RNLI’s vital work but also helps raise awareness of water safety in a hands-on and engaging way.
“Good luck everyone!” added Peter.
