The entire Westcountry is bracing for 13 hours of torrential rain tomorrow (Thursday, February 15), with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning for the region.
Starting at 11am and finishing at midnight, the rain storm is expected to cause disruption throughout Torbay and surrounding regions.
Wales is also expected to be hit by the heavy rain.
The Exeter-based UK forecaster say that bus and train services will probably be affected with journey times taking longer. It also predicts that spray and flooding on roads will lengthen journey times.
The forecaster added: "Further rain, on already saturated ground, is expected to move north and east to affect parts of southwest England and south Wales on Thursday morning and will become persistent and heavy at times.
"15 to 20 mm of rain is expected to fall widely with 30 to 40 mm likely over higher ground. The rain will start to die out from the west after dark."
