Police have charged a man, 60, with attempted murder
A 60-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with an incident in Paignton on Sunday, June 25.
Officers were called around 1am and found a woman seriously injured in Church Street.
Christopher Allwood, of Roundham Road, Paignton, has been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday, June 28).
The woman in her 50s remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition, said a police spokesperson.
