Paignton Rowing Club pair win Wimbleball Regatta under-18s double sculls title

Wimbleball Regatta, the second regatta in the West of England ARA 10 regatta Championship series, was held over a 1,000 metre course on Wimbleball Lake, which set high in the hills of Exmoor in Somerset.

The regatta had attracted 216 entries necessitating 64 races.

Paignton Rowing Club again produced a large entry gaining a clutch of second and third places. Wins were achieved by the club at men’s under-18 double sculls with Ethan Frost and Yuri Allasia; men’s under-15 double sculls with Oliver Chalk and Hugo Dossett; and at mixed senior C coxed fours in a composite crew with Dartmouth.

The next Championship regatta is at Bideford on July 1.
