A special presentation is being given to Torbay businesses looking for the Royal seal of approval.

Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Devon, Brian Wills-Pope will be encouraging firms to qualify for The King’s Awards for Enterprise.

The event is taking place on Tuesday June 20 in the Horizon Restaurant at South Devon College between 3.30pm and 6pm.

It is being supported by TDA and aims to tell firms more about the awards, how and why their business could be eligible and the benefits of applying and winning such an award.

The event is designed for owners / managers, managing directors and businesses leaders of companies and groups in Torbay and South Devon.

Topics will include the four categories, the benefits of winning, eligibility criteria, the application process and Devon’s progress.

Past winners will talk about the experience of the application process and what it is like for a business to win.

There will also be the chance to network.

Mr Wills-Pope said: "We very much hope that companies will be able to spare some time for the presentation event. Relevant to small and large businesses from any sector, it would be great to celebrate the innovative and wonderful businesses found in Torbay, South Devon through this unique and highly prestigious award. Applying for a King’s Award for Enterprise can provide a significant part in the development of a business."
