Teenage gymnast sensation Abigail Martin has been doing South Devon - and her country - proud.
The South Devon School of Gymnastics' 14 year old was crowned 2023 Junior British Champion at the recent British Gymnastics Championships held in Liverpool.
She competed confidently across the four pieces of apparatus to claim the overall trophy. This success follows on from her English and Welsh open victories.
Then it was a mad dash to Turkey with her British Gymnastics team mates to compete at the Junior World Championships.
Abi again competed with style and confidence to finish an amazing fifth overall. She also qualified for two apparatus finals finishing a creditable fifth on vault and was stylish to finish fourth on floor against the world's best junior gymnasts, aged 14 and 15.
