A football signed by England World Cup hero Geoff Hurst and a glove signed by boxing legend Frank Bruno are among the sports items up for grabs at a pig racing fundraising auction tomorrow night (Friday, November 11).

The pig racing evening is being held at The Divers Arms, Babbacombe, starting at 7pm tomorrow.

Experiences and signed memorabilia will be auctioned during the evening - with all proceeds going to Rowcroft Hospice.

Also going under the hammer is a signed John Travolta Saturday Night Fever photograph, a visit to The Aztec Spa Fire and Ice Experience in Torquay and a Star Wars photograph signed by the late David Prowse, who played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy.

The event is being organised by Alliance Build Company, based in Torre and a member of Rowcroft's 40@40 Corporate Club this year as the hospice celebrates its 40th anniversary.

During 2022/23, 40 local businesses have committed to raise a minimum of £1,000 each over the next year - and Alliance Build Company is hosting the pig racing evening.

The evening will be hosted by Ady Byng, followed by an evening of entertainment, including a raffle, auction, singer Danni B and disco.

Proceeds will be donated to Rowcroft Hospice who help to provide palliative care and support to patients and families both at home and at their local hospice in South Devon.

If you are not able to go to the event but want to donate, search 'Alliance Build' at www.justgiving.com
