Plans are under way in Brixham for a five-day celebration of King Charles' coronation.
The port's voluntary and community sector is gearing up to deliver 40 free public events to mark the His Majesty's coronation.
Supported by Brixham Lottery, local sponsors and donations, the celebrations are scheduled over five days between Wednesday, May 3, and Sunday, May 7, next year.
King Charles III's coronation will be on Saturday, May 6, and will be shown live in the Brixham Theatre cinema.
John Rudden, one of the organisers, said: "Next year will be hard for many people. We intend these free public Brixham celebrations will cheer us all up.
"The free public events include a Friday parade, services, sing-a-longs, concerts, activities, exhibitions and street musicians, with mainly 1960s' music as the backdrop.
"We want to bring free entertainment to our local spaces encouraging people to walk around and enjoy our town.
"The transformational affect has already been demonstrated with previous free public events showing what a few thousands of pounds can achieve to improve our general environment.
"We delivered both the D-Day 75th anniversary celebrations and the late Queen's Jubilee celebrations. These attracted positive comments from residents and visitors alike.
"Many free public events are being photographed and shared worldwide promoting Brixham as a place to live, work in or visit."
Francis Robinson, treasurer of Brixham Future CIC, said: "Our free public events promote Brixham as a centre for the arts and heritage building on our national and local history.
"We have always had a thriving voluntary sector with fantastic local groups participating including Brixham Town Band, Brixham Orpheus Male Voice Choir, Royal British Legion, Women's Institute, South Devon Players, Seagals, Missin` tackle, Classic gold, to name just a few. All performed for free.
"We would be delighted to hear from any Torbay group that wishes to participate."
Brixham Future CIC is a not-for-profit community group consisting of retired or semi-retired volunteers. It delivers small scale, quick win, low-cost projects or events that benefit the local area.
Further details of the full Programme will be circulated before Christmas.
