Even Agatha got in on the Absolute challenge
Torbay estate agents Absolute Sales & Lettings have raised almost £3,000 for Rowcroft Hospice by walking every street in the resort.
The Absolute Every Street Challenge 2025 involved the entire Absolute team, joined by friends and family, setting out to walk, run, cycle, or scoot across every single street in Torbay.
That is 1,684 unique roads, each documented with a selfie or photo beside the street sign — all, within 24 hours and without using a single car to get around
An Absolute spokesman said: “When challenge day rolled around, we were blessed with glorious sunshine from dawn until dusk.
“Though you could say it was a little warm at times, we used solar power to get us through each and every street.

“As a team who live and work locally, we knew Torbay was pretty hilly... but blimey, I think we were all surprised by just how many hills we would have to cover. By late afternoon (and after many combined hours of walking, running and cycling), we were thrilled to complete our challenge and hit that magic 1684 number. We did it with enthusiasm and determination.”
The challenge idea was sparked in January during a brainstorming session. Founding director Simon Fisher came up with the bold idea to photograph every road sign in Torbay in a single day. It sounded bonkers at first, but with some light persuasion, we all got behind his idea.

“Not only was it a fun, physical challenge, it also perfectly mirrored our work in property - we really do cover every single street in Torbay. From Preston to Babbacombe, Torre to Brixham, if there’s a house on it, we're there to assist with selling or letting it.”
