TORQUAY United will start their summer 2025 pre-season friendly schedule with a short trip to Newton Abbot to meet Buckland Athletic on Saturday, July 12 (12.30pm).
The Gulls had earlier announced that they will entertain League One Devon neighbours Exeter City on July 25 (7.30pm).
Three more warm-up games are expected to be arranged before the NL South campaign opens on August 9, although there’s been no confirmation yet that they will include another visit from Plymouth Argyle.
There was huge disappointment for United Women, who lost the chance of winning promotion back to National League level with a final-day 1-0 defeat by Sherborne Town Ladies. Sunday’s rearranged game was switched to Ilchester, but a Sherborne goal early in the second half meant that United finished the SW Premier League as runners-up behind champions Marine Academy Ladies from Plymouth.
