Tunes on the Sands music festival has been postponed to summer 2026, organisers announced today.
The two-day annual event, which was set to return to Blackpool Sands in Dartmouth, will no longer take place in 2025.
Organisers claim that the event is not feasible this year due to factors beyond their control.
Tickets were advertised for sale in September 2024 but the line up had not yet been announced. In previous years, headline acts included Razorlight and Feeder.
Tunes on the Sands first took place in 2019 and was inspired by the success of Tunes in the Dunes, held on Perranporth beach in Cornwall. Its main arena includes a main stage for headliners and has a capacity for around 5,000 attendees.
Organisers have assured ticket holders that refunds will be issued upon request and said that the festival will return "bigger and better" next year.
A spokesperson for the festival announced on Facebook: "Unfortunately, we have had to make the tough decision to delay Tunes on the Sands 2025 until summer 2026. This decision has been taken with careful consideration and with the greatest will in the world to return to Blackpool Sands for 2025, however, due to factors beyond our control it is not feasible for this year.
"If you have already booked a ticket for 2025, these can be rolled over to the new dates. However, if you wish to have your tickets refunded, please email info@tunesfestivals.com, and please include your order number in the email. We look forward to returning to Blackpool Sands July 24 and 25, 2026, bigger and better than ever."
Some Facebook comments said that they feel the line up for Blackpool Sands is poor in comparison to other festivals organised by the Tunes Festivals group.
