Fire fighters have been tackling a blaze in Paignton town centre.
The alert was sounded at just before 5am on Saturday February 15 when they were called to a large fire at a building in Victoria Street.
There were initially eight fire engines and other supporting resources at the scene working to extinguish the fire in a four-storey building.
By 8am the incident was being scaled back and the fire had been extinguished. Firefighters were damping down and checking for hotspots.
At the height of the incident six firefighters wore breathing apparatus, using three hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
An aerial Ladder Platform was also used to deal with the fire in the third floor flat. Police and Ambulance were also on scene.
By just after 10am, two fire engines were still in attendance damping down hotspots and also assisting with a fire investigation.
There were no reports of anybody being hurt and and all persons were reported to have been accounted for.
