Newton Abbot Racecourse
Newton Abbot Racecourse is gearing up for the season - but it isn't just about horses and jockeys.
The Racecourse and Conference Centre is making great strides in a bid to engage further with local businesses and the community at large.
The racing season starts with a first meeting on Thursday April 10. But they have also launched a new business club and several community events have also been lined up.
Business Development Manager Jenny Paton says: " Racing starts Thursday April 10. This will be a family fun day. There are 18 Fixtures to the end of October – with various things happening on a variety of fixtures including visiting retired racehorses, live music and family entertainment.
"On Race day we provide a wealth of hospitality from corporate hospitality boxes and we have two restaurants where our customers can enjoy a lovely meal overlooking the parade ring or Winning Post.
"We also have a wealth of rooms people can hire for a variety of conferences, meetings or events.
"We can hire out our site for large events like the Dartmoor Classic Cycle Race/ Funtasia Circus/ Stitchfest. And our clerk of the course is running behind the scenes tours this year – community groups or businesses can book to enjoy this."
The new Business Club offers various sponsorship packages and includes an invitation to networking breakfasts and lunches.
“We are excited to launch this unique initiative,” said Jenny. “The Business Club combines the excitement of horseracing with meaningful opportunities for businesses to grow, network, and make the most of our fantastic facilities.”
