The impact of the rain, wind, thunder, and lightning brought by Storms Eowyn and Herminia in Torbay has been revealed.
Fallen trees, flooded roads, and collapsed walls are just some of the issues local authorities and services have been dealing with due to extreme weather brought by Storm Eowyn on Friday, January 24, and Storm Herminia on Sunday, January 26.

Staff and colleagues from Torbay Council, SWISCo, Tor Bay Harbour Authority & Beaches, and Hi-Line have been working together to deal with the debris and issues caused by this batch of yellow weather warnings issued by the Met Office.
Fallen trees blocked roads, including Middle Warberry Road and Ilsham Road, while Hi-Line had to clear a tree from the railway line at Newton Road.

Meadfoot Sea Road was closed due to waves overtopping the seawall, and flooding occurred at Churston Cross, Dartmouth Road, Babbacombe Road, and Totnes Road, where gullies had to be cleared of leaves and debris.

Some households in the TQ1 area, Torquay, also reported brief instances of power cuts.
Other incidents included a collapsed pillar on Belgrave Road, a dangerous wall reported on Yalberton Road, rocks obstructing the road there, and roof and guttering damage on St Luke's Road. Additionally, a wall collapsed, closing the footway at Lower Audley Road.
