Torbay Council have confirmed details of road closures as hundreds of people are expected to see out the old and welcome in the new especially around the Torquay harbour and clock tower area.

It's almost New Year's Eve party time in Torbay.

Torbay Council have confirmed details of road closures as hundreds of people are expected to see out the old and welcome in the new especially around the Torquay harbour and clock tower area.

In order to keep everyone safe and everything running smoothly on New Year’s Eve, the council says the following roads will be closed around the Strand in Torquay:

  • Fleet Street, Cary Parade, The Strand, Victoria Parade and Torwood Street

  • Braddons Hill Road West

  • The Terrace

These roads will be closed from 9pm on Tuesday December 31 to 4am on Wednesday January 1.
