Refugee families in Torbay have been given a special festive treat—a meeting with Santa.
Rotary Santa’s Grotto at Fleet Walk in Torquay opened its doors to welcome the families in the area to come and see Father Christmas.
They were greeted by the Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, and White Rabbit and a host of other characters who showed them around Alice in Wonderland's tea party before going to see Santa.
They then chatted with the man himself before collecting their present and their keepsake photo.
The Butt family and their children Mike and Nika were delighted and said: "It's been such a wonderful experience, and it's really made our day."
In total, 36 families were invited by the Rotary Club of Torbay Sunrise, who, along with the Tormohun Rotary Club, are committed to helping Ukrainian and other refugee families in the local area.
The charity grotto is opening every weekend and then every day from December 16 to December 24. For tickets visit EventBrite Fleetwalk Santa’s Grotto or see their Facebook page for more details.
