Local bus company Stagecoach South West are appealing to the public to Share the Magic this Christmas.

They are setting up donation stations across the county in December for staff and passengers to give back this Christmas.

Located in Exeter, Torquay, Barnstaple and Plymouth the transport operator will be collecting gifts to support families who may go without through no fault of their own this Yuletide.

Stagecoach has selected four local charities to support; Action for Children’s Exeter Family Hub in Exeter, The Patchwork Women’s and Children’s Centre in Torquay, Trevi in Plymouth, and North Devon Against Domestic Abuse, all of which work hard to support people in times of need.

Gifts such as games, puzzles, craft kits, and sweet treats will bring joy to all ages and will be hugely appreciated by those who may otherwise go without.

Peter Knight, Stagecoach South West Managing Director, said: “We are so pleased to be able to deliver this initiative. The pressures families face at this time of year can be tough and we want to help raise awareness of this as part of our Christmas campaign and give back to the people in the communities that we service across the South West. We know our staff and passengers will do us proud with their donations.”

The donation window will run from December 1 to 12 with gifts being donated to each charity the week before Christmas.

Passengers in Torbay, Plymouth, and Barnstaple may donate directly to the charity or at their local depot. The Torquay depot is in Regent Close. TQ2 7AN
