Storm Bert swept across South Devon leaving a trail of chaos in its wake.
Storm force gales battered the area and rain lashed down as the area was put on a high safety alert for 48 hours.
Seafront roads were closed, train services disrupted, trees uprooted and some areas and homes left under flood water as rivers burst their banks.
Torbay took a bashing and a lashing but appears to have escaped serious problems. The Newton Abbot and Teigngrace areas and East Devon were badly hit by floods.
Chris Linton, who took these pictures in Teigngrace, said: "It's pretty bad around the whole River Teign area. All of Teigngrace is under water. The whole of Bovey centre, the Finlake road and all of the Teign Valley all just under water."
The Met Office had issued two yellow weather warnings for the region - for both wind and rain.
Bert hit the UK in the early hours of Saturday morning with the weather warning in place until 11.45pm on Sunday.
