A motorbike rider has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after an accident in Paignton.

A motorbike rider has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after an accident in Paignton.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the serious collision in Paignton at around 9.15am today (Tuesday July 23) at Goodrington Road at the junction with Gibson Road.

It was reported that an accident had taken place involving a blue Porsche Cayenne and a blue BMW motorcycle.

As a result of the collision the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was airlifted to Derriford Hospital with serious injuries.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene. Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
