Torbay comedy night launches ten year birthday musical

Join Under One Roof for a spectacular show at The Royal Lyceum from tonight to Saturday, May 18

Torbay comedy night launches ten year birthday appeal

Unleashed Theatre Company are celebrating ten years since they set up Unleashed Community Drama. Every week, fifty one weeks of the year, for the last ten years Unleashed have run their popular community drama sessions, aimed specifically at the ex-homeless and recovery community of Torbay. So to celebrate and launch their Ten Year Special Appeal they are presenting Under One Roof Four - The Big Ten Year Rehab Musical.

Packed with comedy routines and knock-about sketches, the theatre company will be backed by their 60 strong Community choir for what promises to be a hilarious night of frivolity and fun but with an inspiring and serious message.

Martin Harris the shows director said.”Under One Roof is an incredibly uplifting and hilarious show, packed with fantastic music, incredible soloists but primarily it is a comedy show. This is the fourth review we have presented like this and they have all proved very popular with our audiences.
Performed by a beautiful community of actors and singers all drawn from the ex-homeless and recovery community of Torbay, we hope the local community will come out and support these guys"

Unleashed who took over The Royal Lyceum in Abbey Road two years ago are getting something of a reputation for their original writing, and have just this last week won another award for their most recent film 3 Steps, a gritty and challenging film about homelessness.

By contrast 'Under One Roof' although another original Musical Revue from Unleashed promises to have the audience laughing in the aisles.

Under One Roof runs from Thursday 16th - Saturday 18th May with a matinee in the afternoon. Tickets are bookable from their website: www.unleashedtheatrecompany.com
