Torquay United announces preferred bidder to take over club

Torquay United updates fans on their situation

Torquay United Football Club has announced their preferred bidder to take over the club. 

Following the announcement of the Club’s intention to enter administration, Torquay United was officially put up for sale on Friday 23rd February. 

Fans have been eagerly waiting the decision of who will take the helm, with the sale determining the future of the club. 

In a statement just released, TUFC said: "We can confirm that The Bryn Consortium of Michael Westcott, Tom Allen, Mark Bowes-Cavanagh, Rob Hawes and Simon Robinson is the preferred bidder in the proposed sale of Torquay United AFC Limited.

"During the past week, The Bryn Consortium has emerged as the party that can provide the best prospects for both the club and its creditors in the immediate and longer term."

"We expect to make a further progress update next week."
