If you are looking for a great night out with some laugh out loud entertainment guaranteed, the Palace Theatre in Paignton has a packed programme of top class, famous names this Spring and Summer.
After a completely sold out and critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival, it’s a huge welcome back to the Palace stage for Stand-Up Comedian and Writer, Andy Parsons with his show, Bafflingly Optimistic. A multi award-winning comedian, Andy started his career writing for Weekending and Smith and Jones show and became one of the main writers on satirical puppet show, Spitting Image.
As well as being a regular on Mock The Week for ten years, Andy has performed on numerous radio and TV shows including Live at the Apollo, QI, Saturday Live, The Stand Up Show, The Comedy Store, The PMQ Show, Scrooby Trevithick, and Parsons and Naylor’s Pull-Out Sections. Described as the ‘Punchline king' by The Guardian and ‘Hysterical' by The Mirror, this is one not to be missed. There are only a few tickets left for the show on Saturday 13 April.
The Palace is also hosting Reginald D Hunter on Friday 21 June, another fabulous Paignton Comedy Club night in store. His searingly honest observations both onstage and on TV and Radio have garnered him a cross-generational fan base with TV appearances on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, QI and Have I Got News For You?
There’s also Joe Pasquale: The New Normal on Wednesday 7 August with a Q&A with the audience. Joe’s TV career started as a runner-up on ‘New Faces’ in 1987 and since then has gone on to be crowned King of The Jungle on ITV’s ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me out Of Here’ and won ITV1’s ‘I’m A Celebrity – Masked Singer Special’. Joe has been showing off on stage for over 40 years and he’s bringing his favourite things for another airing to show that things have never been normal.
