Princess Theatre sponsors the Torbay Business Awards

The Princess Theatre is excited to sponsor the upcoming Torbay Weekly Naturally Inspiring Business Awards. As a well-loved part of the community, the theatre wants to support the hardworking businesses and talented individuals that make Torbay great.

Built in 1961, the 1,500 capacity theatre has earned itself a reputation for being a premier destination not just in Torbay, but across south west England. From international comedy names to world-renowned musicians and theatre productions, no show is too big for the Princess Theatre.

However, change is afoot.

"We're getting ready for big changes at the Princess Theatre," said a theatre spokesperson. "We're renovating our auditorium with new seats, carpets and curtains to make it look beautiful, as well as revamping our front of house spaces. As we prepare for this makeover, we wanted to celebrate the Torbay business community that supports our theatre."

The Princess Theatre is proudly sponsoring the Rising Star award. This award honours up-and-coming talented people. The theatre's operators, Ambassador Theatre Group, have their own Rising Stars training program to nurture future leaders. Sponsoring this award aligns perfectly with their leadership development efforts.

"Identifying and encouraging the next generation of great talent is really important," the spokesperson said. "We're proud to honour Torbay's rising stars and inspire them to keep working hard."

The auditorium upgrades will be complete by June. When you next visit, you'll be wowed by the fresh new look as soon as you enter. The auditorium itself will be totally transformed with brand new seats and carpets. It will be the premiere place for world-class entertainment in Torbay.

"By sponsoring this category, we get to celebrate Torbay's talented newcomers and, by being part of the awards, we get to support the broader business community."

The Princess Theatre added that it is excited to welcome audiences back to enjoy amazing shows once the renovations wrap up this June.
