Connect, share and enjoy your community

Helen Ambler

Hi, I’m Helen, Community Builder for Brixham.  I encourage all ages to get involved and work together in their neighbourhood, when lives transform and positive changes happen.

I connect people with other like-minded people, groups and organisations in Brixham.  We explore strengths, skills and interests, plan how these can be shared, help you work out how to take positive action on things, help harness what is strong in your community and promote this.

Watching new friendships form, activities happening, and neighbours helping each other out with simple tasks on a regular basis is amazing!  The power of personal connection is proven to reduce isolation and transform quality of life for many people.  Please join the free Torbay Timebank to share your skills and help others in the community at: www.devonconnect.org/torbay/torbay-timebank

Please like and follow my Facebook page ‘Helen Ambler, Community Builder for Brixham’ to keep up to date with what’s happening weekly/monthly and when special events are coming up. I also have a what’s on guide which I can email out to you.

Linda and Dave of Classic Gold, perform at YES! Brixham on the second Tuesday of each month 2pm – 4pm with the next one on March 12 – audience participation is highly recommended! There’s also a new dementia friendly singing/dancing for fun group called the Forget-me-nots at 2pm – 4pm on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at YES! Brixham, with Gary hosting. Brixham Library, Theatre, Museum, Brixham Does Care and the Scala Hall, also all have lots going on.
