The Rock Choir ‘You’re the Voice’ Tour stopped off at the Princess Theatre, Torquay for another sell out show.
This was the fifth date of a nationwide UK Tour for Rock Choir, which is the largest contemporary choir in the world.
The show was led by the Creator of Rock Choir, the charismatic Caroline Redman Lusher along with the South West Rock Choir Leaders - Chris, Richard, Marcus, Stacey, Sadie, Carey, Jan and Rachael. They all delivered an exhilarating, high energy and joyous pop concert.
The shows have been described as pure joy! A vibrant celebration of music and community, with members of the audience fully interacting and participating with the show by singing and dancing along to every song!
The show was a spectacle of high energy and joyous pop led by Caroline and her Rock Choir Leaders. The audience was largely made up of Rock Choir Members and it was a chance for them to come together with a larger number of singers from Rock Choir from all over the South West, to join together in song. Despite breaking her ankle just a month ago, there was no holding back Caroline Redman Lusher, who epitomised the phrase ‘the show must go on’, with her powerhouse vocals and captivating personality she led the audience through a packed set consisting of hit after hit record.
The South West Rock Choir Leaders all took to the stage with solo numbers and showcased their talent, personality and charisma. All totally unique, all professional musicians who lit up the stage in Torquay and along with Caroline received cheers and rapturous applause from the appreciative audience.
The shows have been gaining more and more attention with each date with demand building to make tickets for the dates available to the wider general public. The spectacle of listening to over 1000 voices singing as one is exhilarating and breath-taking and with more and more enquiries coming in, Rock Choir have now made future shows available for everyone, subject to ticket availability. Audience members who are not part of Rock Choir can listen and watch or they can fully join in and feel completely included. Every single person in the audience in Torquay was up singing and enjoyed one of the most feel-good, high-energy concerts around.
Rock Choir Member Judy Jackman commented: “What an amazing, inspiring, joyous evening! So much fun, singing together with all our fellow Rockies! When I joined Rock Choir 2 years ago, I didn't realise how much it would change my life after a very difficult time. Well, last night proved how much it has. I didn't want the evening to end. So great to see Caroline there, leading us on despite her broken ankle.”
Rock Choir Member, Claire Tennant added: “I had a fantastic night! So much glitter and sparkles and lights! I think we became Torquay’s lighthouse because ships would have seen us all from miles away! Absolutely amazing!”
