Council supports awards to salute business - 'the backbone of Torbay'

Sponsors of the Torbay Business Awards 2024

The Torbay Weekly Naturally Inspiring Business Awards  are all about bringing businesses together and celebrating their success.
Business awards finals night 2023
And that is one of the main reasons why Torbay Council are once again the headline sponsors of this year's event.
The awards seek to recognise the outstanding achievement of businesses throughout the Bay.
Cllr Chris Lewis, Cabinet Member for Place Development and Economic Growth and Deputy Leader of the Council, called the awards a “celebration of Torbay’s success.”
He said: “I’m very pleased to say that once again Torbay Council agreed to sponsor the awards.
“Naturally, the council is friends with business. We see business as the backbone of Torbay. We want to facilitate the success of all enterprise, small medium and large, and it’s great that we can bring businesses in the Bay together at this event, whether it be high-tech, create industries, tourism or anything else.
“Recently it’s been pleasing to see how high-tech businesses have done in recent years, with the EPIC Centre and a bid to government for a new technology park, which will create more jobs in the Bay and more opportunities for your youngsters.”
Other 2023 sponsors that are on board for 2024 include the Princess Theatre, the English Riviera BID Company, Bays Brewery, Interline Building Supplies, South Devon College, Wollens Solicitors, Torbay Business Forum, Majestic Holidays, Stagecoach and the Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner’s Office.
