Police appeal
A man is being hunted after trying to rob a woman of her handbag in Paignton.
A man is being hunted after trying to rob a woman of her handbag in Paignton.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after the incident at around 7pm on Friday March 1.
The woman was approached by the unknown man on Cadwell Road near to the junction on Torquay Road. The man tried to grab her handbag from her as she was getting into her car.
Having been unsuccessful, he made off down Cecil Road.
He is described as a white male in his early 30s. He was approximately 5ft 8ins tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a green waterproof hooded jacket, jeans, and trainers.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and has dashcam footage to come forward. Local residents with door camera footage are also being asked to get in touch via 101 or by visiting the police website quoting 50240050610.
