A £13 million care home in Dawlish, Devon, has announced a community open day ahead of its official March opening.
Claremont Manor, boasting 71 beds, will provide personalized residential, dementia, and nursing care. Prior to its opening next month, locals have been invited to an open day on Saturday, February 24th. Visitors will be greeted by the team and treated to activities, entertainment, home tours, and culinary delights prepared by the home's chef.
The latest addition to the Maria Mallaband Care Group (MMCG), Claremont Manor joins a portfolio of over 80 care homes across the UK. It offers an array of facilities including a hair and beauty salon, cinema room, wellness suite, private dining and leisure suite, and a special grandchildren’s room for families with young children to enjoy quality time together.
Claremont Manor has already forged connections within the local community, supporting initiatives such as The Strand Centre Food Bank, participating in the bi-annual EAT Dawlish market featuring Hug on a Plate, and sponsoring the Dawlish Celebrates Carnival in August.
Carla Bowman, senior operations manager at MMCG, said: “This is such an exciting time for all of us at MMCG, especially the new team who will take this home forward; we cannot wait to share this exceptional home with the Dawlish community.
“For those moving in next month, it will be the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Claremont has first-class care at its heart, but our ambition goes way beyond that. We want to create a vibrant happy community where people feel they belong, be themselves and continue to love life and live it to the fullest.”
“I’m happy to say we’ve received the warmest of welcomes and a huge amount of interest already. This will be an exceptional place to live and work and we are so excited to see it come to life and become an integral and valued part of this fantastic community.”
