The stage is being set for one of the highlights of the local business calendar - the Torbay Weekly Naturally Inspiring Business Awards 2024.

Entries for the award categories are open and businesses and individuals are being encouraged to get their nominations in now and not leave it until the last minute.

The glittering finals night for shortlisted winners has been confirmed for Thursday June 13.

The venue will be the same, the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay, where last year around 200 guests enjoyed a great night of inspiration and celebration at the 2023 awards ceremony.

Entries will close on Friday April 5 with Judging Day set for Monday April 8.

At the moment the categories remain the same but there may be some interesting additions over the next couple of  weeks so watch this space. Those available now are:

Overall Business the Year

Inspiring Employer of the Year

Best New Business

Commissioner's Business Community Champion Award

Small Business of the Year

 Award for Innovation

 Tourism Business of the Year

 Environmental Award

Young Business Person of the Year

James Wright Award for Inspirational Leader

Torbay Weekly Jim Parker also presents two surprise lifetime contribution awards to the community and business on the night.

Some of last year's category sponsors are already committing to this year - with details announced next week and over the coming weeks.

Editor Parker says: "I would just like to say a huge, huge thankyou to those who are supporting us again, especially our category sponsors, this year. Without that support this event would not be possible.

"That would be a real shame. Of course, I am biased but  I believe the awards have brought businesses together in the Bay especially after Covid.

"We have even had queries coming in about buying tickets and tables which is sensational and we have had some entries!."

If you would like to sponsor a category please contact jim.parker@clearskypublishing.co.uk or chris.coward@clearskypublishing.co.uk
