Helen Kelly: 'Think big and share your dreams with us

Our local community partnership is pleased to be planning an exciting event for Watcombe, the Willows, Barton and Hele residents.
Put the date in your diary: St Martin’s Hall on Barton Hill Road on Saturday 9 March from 10am – 1.00pm… for the BIG event!
As community builders, Theo (community builder for Hele, Watcome and Barton) and I meet so many local residents who have fantastic goals, visions and ambitions for our neighbourhoods. So, the BIG event is a space where we can share these dreams and think BIG together! We will identify our shared goals and common purpose to plan and drive positive change in our area. From a simple idea to a wildly ambitious plan, bring your thoughts along to share on the day. For example, do you have an idea about sharing tools or resources? Setting up a community group? Improving a green space?
We will inspire each other, develop a path for change and celebrate our many assets. This fun event will include some fantastic entertainment, a BIG Exchange and a BIG (FREE) Buffet to run alongside your BIG Ideas!

For now, save the date. See if you have anything you’d like to bring along for the BIG Exchange part of the event: things you no longer want - but no electrical goods, furniture or soft toys, sorry. Take away anything that catches your eye! No money changes hands! Great community sharing and recycling.
In other news, the lovely Scrabble & Games Social, hosted by Lindy, will continue on the last Tuesday of the month at the Willow Tree pub.
Starting from 10am and finishing around 12, we have been enjoying playing a game and having a chat. If you are interested in joining the group, please contact Helen in advance.
