Police praise Torquay's young people for 'impeccable behaviour'
Police in Torquay have thanked young people for their 'impeccable' behaviour during a safety operation in the resort.
The Torquay neighbourhood policing team conducted a 'Knife Arch' deployment last weekend to offer additional support to local businesses during an evening music event for young people.
Police said: "The evening and Night Time Economy in Torquay is a safe place to work and visit, but this was a great opportunity for our officers to be visible, support colleagues who work in licensed premises, safeguard and engage with young people, and also reinforce the message that criminal behaviour will not be tolerated in this environment.
"Our officers would like to thank those young people out in Torquay who behaved impeccably and to the South West Ambulance Service Trust who assisted officers and local businesses in ensuring everyone had a safe and enjoyable evening."
