Back by popular demand, the Rotary Club of Tormohun (Torquay) are hosting their ‘Bop ‘till you Drop’ Valentine's Party once more, all in support of Rowcroft Hospice
Taking place at the Grand Hotel in Torquay on February 10, Bop ‘till you Drop will be an extravaganza of food, music and entertainment.
Local bands Pure Abba and Freeway will be performing, with a super buffet being provided to keep revellers bopping, not dropping.
“It’s just going to be an evening of fun,” said David Rowe, organiser of the event.
“I want it to be a Valentine's party, certainly not a ball. Laughter and fun is mandatory.”
“We’ve got some great acts local to the Bay lined up. Some will dress up but it’s not required.”
Last year, the party sold all 200 tickets, with scores more left disappointed at the door.
“You couldn’t have fitted a hamster in there,” David added.
Another central part of the evening will be the auction. Hosted by Auctioneer Stephen Large, lots include a weekend away in Stoke Gabriel, B&B stays, a high-speed boat trip and a very rare bottle of Corps of Royal Engineers port.
Last year raised £2,300 for Rowcroft. This year David hopes the event will raise even more.
Tickets cost £30 per person, available from Conroy Couch Jewelers in Torquay or the Grand Hotel’s antique shop.
