Gulls visit Southern League opponents

Torquay United will take their depleted squad to Frome Town in the FA Trophy today.

The Gulls have been ravaged by recent injuries, with more casualties in the midweek win over Weymouth, but Gary Johnson’s men will still be big favourites at their Southern League hosts.

Managed by Danny Greaves, Frome have enjoyed an excellent start to this season and sit just behind leaders Wimborne Town in the Southern League Division One South, and with plenty of games in hand.

Frome have also shown their pedigree in the Trophy, defeating Cirencester, Bemerton Heath Harlequins, Bishops Cleeve, Cribbs and, best of all, Worthing to reach this stage.

It is going to be a day for calm heads, professionalism and poise for United, as they seek a place in the last 32.
