Fishermen heading to North Greenford United

A fourth round tie at North Greenford United awaits Brixham AFC in the last 32 of the FA Vase.
The Ealing-based club play in the Combined Counties League Premier Division.
Goals by veteran Danny Gaze and Jacob Chisholm in the first half and substitute Cole Harford in the second beat Wiltshire side Downton 3-2 and carried Brixham into the next round of the Isuzu FA Vase at Wall Park.
The Fishermen, quarter-finalists last season, had to see off a spirited challenge from the Wessex League visitors before clinching their place in the last-32. But they can now forget the Vase until the New Year and concentrate on the Toolstation Western League, and especially a home game this Saturday against Clevedon Town. Brixham are fifth, but they will be braced for one of their biggest tests of the season – Clevedon (3rd) are still unbeaten after 13 games. Torquay United’s Women lost 4-0 away to Swindon Town in the National League Division One SW, and they now take a break from their fight to avoid relegation until mid-January. United’s Under-18s entertain Fairford Town Academy in the SW Counties Youth League Cup at South Devon College on Saturday (10.30am).
