Happy birthday to a special women's group

A celebratory lunch was held at the Livermead House Hotel in Torquay to mark the 90th year of the Inner Wheel club of Torquay.
In tune with this year’s slogan Shine a Light, two ceremonial candles, one for the past and one for the future, were lit by club President Joan Baily.
The Mayor of Torbay, Mark Spacagna, was welcomed, as were eminent visitors from London, Cornwall and Somerset Inner Wheel Districts and Past Association President of Inner Wheel of GB&I Betty Roberts, District Chairman Louise French from Barnstaple Inner Wheel and the President of Torquay Rotary Club Martin Tucker.
After a lovely lunch and greetings, more candles were lit on the cake and Past President Joan Nott cut the first slice. Joan is 103 years young and has been a member of Torquay for 50 years.
Lesley Roberts, President of Dartmouth Inner Wheel, gave the vote of thanks.
