Torquay pedestrian suffers serious injuries in motorbike accident

Man in 70s taken to Derriford Hospital

A Torquay pensioner has suffered life changing injuries in an accident involving a motorbike.

Police investigating the collision on Thursday,November 30, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called to reports of an accident involving a Honda SH300 motorcycle and a pedestrian on Old Woods Hill at around 3.30pm.

The pedestrian, a local man in his 70s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene. It reopened at around 8.30pm.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
