FA Vase for Brixham this weekend
Brixham AFC welcome Wiltshire side Downton to Wall Park on Saturday in the Isuzu FA Vase after snatching a valuable Western League point against Welton Rovers.
Last season’s Vase Quarter-Finalists, who have been on a storming run of form, trailed early on to Welton and looked as if they might suffer a rare home defeat until sub Sean Adderley equalised in the 87th minute.
Adderley was one of three changes which the Fishermen made at half-time.
Torquay United’s Under-18s maintained their 100% SW Counties Youth League record with a 6-0 home win over Hamworthy United.
The young Gulls are still nine points behind also unbeaten Bridgwater United, but they have three games in hand on their Somerset rivals.
Their meeting with Bridgwater at home on December 16 is shaping up as one of the key matches of the season.
Yeovil Town visit South Devon College this Saturday in the League Cup (10.30am).
United’s Women resume National League Division One SW action at Swindon Town on Sunday (2pm) – the Gulls are just outside the relegation zone and the Robins are third.
