The crash on Torquay seafront
A man was believed to have escaped serious injury after this car crash on Torquay seafront this morning.
The accident happened opposite the Princess Theatre at around 9am.
It is thought the car was travelling towards the harbourside when it may have clipped a lamp-post and ended up in the opposite direction with its axle sheered off.
An ambulance was alerted but was not needed. Police and the fire service were also in attendance.
