Devon Cup success for Torquay United

Torquay United Women are through to the semi-finals of the Devon County Premier Cup after a 3-1 away win over Feniton.
The Gulls put their National League worries behind them to win with goals from Ocean Latto, Danni Wyatt and Ella Stephens. They don’t resume league action until Sunday week (Dec 3), when they travel to Swindon Town. There was frustration for in-form Brixham AFC – their Toolstation Western League game at Saltash United was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.
The Fishermen, who lost their Les Phillips Cup tie against Buckland Athletic on penalties after a 1-1 draw last midweek, are home to Welton Rovers this Saturday.
Then it’s the Isuzu FA Vase tie against Downton from Wiltshire at Wall Park on December 2.
Torquay United Under-18s entertain Hamworthy United in the SW Counties Youth League at South Devon College on Saturday (10.30am) after last weekend’s trip to Brimscombe & Thrupp also fell victim to the weather.
