Getting rid of the rubbish for a good cause

Support worker Hannah Beaumont has been on a marathon litter pick with her late Gran with her every step of the way.
Hannah, 27, was walking the actual marathon distance from Brixham to Kingswear then back home to Brixham via Paignton, litter-picking all the way.
She says: “I’m doing this challenge to raise awareness of our litter problem and also to raise money for the charity Sue Ryder, who I am running the London Marathon for next year, in memory of my Grandma.
“I regularly litter-pick under the name of ‘Me and the Plastic Sea’ and have already completed a marathon litter-picking walk this summer, as well as a 24-hour litter-pick last year. I’m hoping to raise £2,500, and am currently at £2,127.”
Hannah lives in Brixham and is a support worker at the Yes! Brixham charity.
Her grandma, Barbara Hudson, passed away inn 2019. She said: “The local Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands looked after her and us so much.”
