Torquay United drawn away to Frome in FA Trophy

Torquay United have been given a good chance to progress further in the FA Trophy after they were drawn away to Southern League Frome Town in the Third Round Proper.

The Gulls, who beat National League South leaders Yeovil Town 2-1 in Round Two at the weekend, will travel to Somerset to meet Frome on Saturday, December 9.

Frome, who are fourth in the SL Division One with games in hand, pulled off one of the surprises of the last round when they beat NL South Worthing on penalties (4-3) after a 2-2 draw at their Badgers Hill ground.

The Gulls beat SL One leaders Wimborne Town 3-0 away in the FA Cup earlier this season.

The regionalised Third Round draw pitted several NL Premier clubs together, including Dorking v Maidenhead, FC Halifax Town v Altrincham, Rochdale v Gateshead and Eastleigh v Aldershot Town.
