Archbishop Justin Welby and mayor Mark Spacagna at Torquay harbour
Special guest for Remembrance Day
St Marychurch welcomed an unexpected VIP as they marked Remembrance weekend.
Members of the community, including community builder Jennie Langridge and the St Marychurch and Babbacombe yarn fairies did themselves proud with eye-catching displays at St Marychurch Parish Church.
The fairies have been working tirelessly on getting the display ready since May.
And then to add 'icing to the cake' the Archbishop of Canterbury dropped in. The Most Rev Justin Welby gave service inside the church. Around 500 people attended the Remembrance service.
The Archbishop also met locals and visitors at the Torquay Remembrance service and on a separate walkabout on the waterfront.
Large crowds braved atrocious weather to remember those lost during conflict throughout the Bay.
Brixham's lifeboat crew and Brixham Gig rowing crew also paid their respects.
