This will be then be upgraded to an amber warning for wind which will come into effect from tomorrow (November 2). The warning, which could potentially result in 'danger to life', will come into force at 3am on Thursday and remain in place until around 1pm in the afternoon.
Over the next few days, the Met Office has also warned of strong winds that could reach up to speeds of 85mph in some coastal areas. It can also be expected that the gusty conditions could lead to flying debris, power cuts, travel disruption and damage to buildings.
Members of the public have been advised to be on the look out for large waves and any beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties
