Brixham just three points off the lead

And then it was seven wins on the trot for Brixham AFC!
Wellington became the latest Toolstation Western League side to crumble under another onslaught by the Fishermen.
A 5-1 victory in Somerset takes Brixham’s remarkable goals-record in their current run to F31 A1.
First-half efforts from Aaron Wellington (2) and Danny Gaze were topped up by Ewan Howarth and Reece Somers in the last 15 minutes to leave Brixham third in the table, still three points behind unbeaten leaders Clevedon.
They will be favourites going into this Saturday’s home league game against mid-table Torpoint Athletic.
Then the Fishermen, who reached the FA Vase Quarter-Finals last season, tackle an away tie at Cowes Sports on November 11.
Torquay United’s Women lost 2-1 away to Abingdon United in the National League Division One SW.
They led through an early Tracey Cross goal, but were behind by the interval and missed a penalty chance to equalise in the second half.
They have no game this Sunday.
United’s Under-18 side, whose FA Youth Cup run ended in a 5-2 defeat to Reading City in a tie switched to Berkshire last Thursday, did not play last weekend.
But they hit the road again this Saturday to continue the defence of the SW Counties Youth League Cup at Swindon Supermarine.
