From Butlins in Minehead to the streets of the Albanian capital Tirana, South Devon Athletic Club members have been flying the flag for the Paignton-based club in style.
Members tackled parkruns all over the country at the weekend, including the one at Minehead, while Kevin Ashworth tackled the Tirana Half-Marathon, finishing an impressive 89th overall in a time of 1h 41m 42s.
The Haldon Power Run, starting and finishing at Exeter Racecourse, provided the latest in the club’s season-long Grand Prix series.
Shaun Kirk was the first of the club’s runners home, clocking 70m 07s for the hilly nine miles, followed by Dani Waters in 70m 12s, Cherry Powell and Neil Jordain, who both recorded times of 85m 58s.
Waters was the second lady home and plus first in the F35 category while Kirk was second in the MV55 class and Powell second in the FV55 class.
