Brixham AFC enjoying a fabulous run of form
Twenty goals scored and none conceded – that’s the tally from five successive victories which have lifted Brixham AFC up to second place in their first season after promotion to the Toolstation Western League.
After a run of home wins, the Fishermen hit the road to Street and won with first-half goals from former Torquay United U18 striker Ben Aldous and Scott Robinson.
Leaders Helston have two games in hand, but Brixham are only a point behind as they prepare for a Les Phillips Cup tie at home to Millbrook this Saturday.
Neither TUFC’s Under-18s nor the Women played at the weekend, but they both have big games ahead.
The young Gulls take on Reading City in the FA Youth Cup 3rd Qualifying Round at Buckland Athletic’s Homers Heath ground tomorrow night (Thurs) at 7.30pm.
Then it’s Wimborne Town away in the SW Counties Youth League on Saturday (10.30am).
After a welcome week off, the injury-hit United Women make the short trip to take on Exeter City in Women’s FA Cup at Exwick Sports Hub on Sunday (2pm).
