A trip down memory for Torbay Weekly readers this week
It comes thanks to Torquay Museum who have agreed to delve into their archives from time to time to help us take a look at the Bay's past.
These photographs are showing the interior of Slade & Sons, Abbey Stores in Torquay. The gentleman in the white coat in the second picture is James Coates who went on to own The Pinhoe Stores in Exeter.
The museum says: "These images have been very popular on our social media. They reached 10,000 people and received a lot of comments from people remembering the business."
