A paramedic treats the boy on Brixham Breakwater beach
A young boy was lucky to escape serious injury in after an accident in Brixham.
The Brixham coastguard rescue team were alerted at just after 3.30pm on Saturday October 7 after reports that somebody had fallen from height at the Brixham Breakwater down on to the beach below.
When coastguards arrived a paramedic from a weekend powerboat racing event was already treating the boy who had suffered a suspected broken ankle.
Once an ambulance arrived, the coastguard team assisted carrying the youngster from the beach to the waiting ambulance.
